ANEID RESPONSEPAPER- BOOK NEEDED IS THE ESSENTIAL ANEID
Here is a guide for the response papers, which elaborates onwhat is already in your syllabus.
As a general point, this paper isnot a research paperalthough it can be. You are free to incorporate secondarymaterial. For this paper, yourresponse to the reading matters. I am not interested, for this assignment, toread what someone else had to say about the primary source. I am interested in what you have to say about your experiencereading the work.
You may formulate this paper arounda question that you had about the reading. A question is always a good place tostart. You may write the paper about your experience reading the work. What wasreading the work like? You may write about the setting, plot, characters, themes, religious elements, or any other subject you can think of to write onabout the specific work.
Craft your paper around some carefullychosen textual examples. Work to include citations from the text in your paper. If you have a question about a passage, cite the passage and then discuss thequestion. Your paper will become much stronger if you cite from your source asmuch as possible.
You may use any citation systemthat you choose. I tend to use Chicago and MLA formatting. The paper should bedouble spaced and four to five pageslong. Thank you for your hard work.
