Senior Seminar ends in a celebratory presentation of your work during the semester. This occurs in the form of a colloquium, or academic conference.
Our Senior Seminar Colloquium is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1, 5-8pm.
Each student will present their semester projects as if giving a formal academic conference presentation. Here are the standards and expectations:
- Your presentation should be 10-12 minutes.
- Your presentation should give the audience context for your project
- Your presentation should share the work with the audience. In class, we will discuss the expectations for a professional presentation in both the Lit and CRWR Tracks.
- You will be prepared to field questions from the audience.
Your grade will be based on length of your presentation, preparation and professionalism, ability to answer questions, as well as the following written components.
- Following your presentation, you will write a 2-page reflection on how you feel the presentation went, what you learned, what you could improve on next time, what you would do differently, what you feel was successful and why. (Upload your Reflection by 9pm on Friday, December 3.)
