The workforce planning process starts with an organization’s business strategy. After effectively arranging an organization’s talent philosophy and making strategic staffing decisions, a recruitment guide can be assembled to outline a recruitment pathway consistent with the organization’s or HR’s philosophy for hiring. 
Recruitment plans vary in the degree of “needs” for the organization. Action plans proactively assist recruiters as a guide into the staffing planning process but is not meant to address the complexity of strategic staffing.
For your semester project, you will assemble a recruitment guide as part of a team project. The purpose is to provide a recruiter or staffing specialist with a resource that can be used as a training guide. Your recruitment guide is to follow some EEOC guidelines. Assume it is to be presented to top-management giving them an idea of the pathway or map that will be followed by the HR staff member
In this course, you have learned about varying concepts, skills, and abilities recruiters, staffing specialists, and human resource professionals have for employment practices. Developing a recruitment guide is considered a key learning outcome in this course. Although this plan is short, it’s meant to give an idea of the process for any person in charge of recruitment in an HR department. Should you ever be required to develop a full and extensive plan, this template may assist as a starting point. For now, we will focus on this short version. 
Step 1) Assume the role of a Recruiter or Staffing specialist for this exercise. Perform your job as if you were turning in this plan to the CEO of the Chern’s Department Store. Do not change the formatting of the document but do fix your entries so that it all looks professional and organized. Refer to your textbook chapter content or PowerPoint Presentations (if needed) to connect chapter content to the recruitment plan requirements.
Step 2) Read and review the attached template you will use for your Semester Project – A Short Recruitment Guide. You are to enter data (information) into the areas that have brackets (e.g. [brackets]). Remove the bracket instructions I have provided and proceed to type (enter) your findings/answer/response. Do not leave the bracket instructions – they only appear to show where you are to type your information.
Step 3) I have provided you the template needed to establish the recruitment guide. Your part will consist of referring to the chapters or areas of the textbook so that you can formulate your plan. Provide well-developed answers of at least 250 words or more to each of your recruitment guide items to maximize your grade points. 
Step 4) Complete the ‘Recruitment Guide’ entirely using the template provided. Do not skip or leave any items blank.
Step 5) Submit your ‘Recruitment Guide’ in Module 8 once the module becomes available.
