Consider that you have been named as the HR Director for a new organization with 350 to 400 employees. This is a result of a spin-off from a bank and mortgage company and you will be retaining 200 employees. You must hire the balance of the employees within 8 weeks. You are working with two human resource specialists to develop job designs and descriptions, and that work is almost completed. You are now looking to employ two to three HR hiring specialists to complete the onboarding work. In teams of 4-6 students you will work together to create a list of interview questions and criteria for these new hiring specialists.
Identify and Develop
the job qualifications for hiring specialists in a mortgage company and a complete list of 15 to 20 interview questions to use for these HR employees. (see chapters 6 and 7 of the text) and the following resources. The interview questions must include the following:
Methodologies to use in interview (example: video, online, face to face, role plays, etc.)
Number of Interviews and Type: 1st and 2nd interviews, group and/or individual
Qualifications for financial and banking recruiters
List of 15 to 20 questions that include behavioral, situational, and basic top 10 interview questions for recruiters in financial industry
a copy of a model job resume you would consider prior to the first interview. Justify your choice by including specific qualifications for these recruiting specialists.
NOTE: Take the time to develop a strong functional resume. Functional resumes highlight your abilities, such as hiring, managing or coaching, rather than your chronological work history. You’ll still need to summarize your work history, but this is usually done at the bottom of your resume.
