Your capstone paper should be a 7-10 page paper that critically analyzes the internship experience. You should reflect on what you learned, how it related to your coursework, and what it taught you about politics and political systems. This must be a critical reflection on the internship. While your journals can be descriptive, your capstone papers must be analytical. You may use relevant scholarly resources. Please do not narrate your internship experiences. Instead, analyze what you have experienced against the backdrop of your academic coursework and scholarship in our field.
Please do not use your capstone paper as an opportunity to explain how much you learned from or appreciated your internship experience. This is an analytical exercise that should be written just as you would any research paper for any other class. Footnotes and a Works Cited page are appropriate (Chicago or APA format, please).
