At the end of your internship, you are to submit an electronic poster (using the
provided poster template) that summarizes your internship experience. Posters
should include graphics and pictures along with written material that highlights.
These posters will be shared with future SOC/CRIM interns as they consider an
internship in this field. Poster should include at a minimum:

of Employees, etc.)
Your Role as Intern
Your main duties
Projects/reports that you worked on (great to include graphics here if possible)
Dates you interned
How your worked contributed to the overall agency mission
How this Internship Connects to Your Future Career
Ok to be honest here; is this career for you? Why or why not?
If yes or no, how does this connect to your future career/graduate school
plans?
How this Internship Connects to Your Professional Self
What did you learn about the professional world?
What skills stand out as vital to be successful in this field?
How this internship connects to Sociology/Criminology
Be creative. Consider a main SOC/CRIM (or WGS/AFST if enrolled in one of these
sections) concept or theory you have been exposed to and discuss how what you have
learned about it connects to your internship experience. Also, give some thought to
organizational socialization. What are some main insights to this professional culture
that you have learned?
